Artist Statement
Evan is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the relationship between humans and nature, with a focus on bird conservation. His tactile sculptures combine repurposed materials with digital processes, blending handcraft techniques like crocheting and weaving with 3D design. He creates immersive, interactive environments that invite viewers to touch, disturb, and reflect. Inspired by bird behaviours such as collecting and nest-building, his work uses sensory materials and organic forms to evoke curiosity and care. Through playful, material-led processes, he highlights the emotional and ecological connections between people, wildlife, and the spaces they share.
